Corrosion Protection of Injection Molded Porous 440C Stainless Steel by Electroplated Zinc Coating

چکیده

Zinc electroplating was used to enhance corrosion resistance of porous metal injection molded 440C stainless steel. Controlled porosity achieved by the powder space holder technique and using sodium chloride as a material. The internal pore structure deposited zinc with three different electrolytes acetate, sulfate, chloride. Our results show that all depositions on samples significantly improved resistance. lowest observed acetate at 30 wt.% porosity. developed coated have potential in applications corrosive environments.
